Easy Money???

So much internet, so little time, even on a fast connection.
I'm intently studying the money connection and e-biz, or business.
Some one recently told me, it isn't the idea that makes the money, it is the implementation; how can you be better at implementing the idea/product that so appeals to you?
hmmm.....
As I research various things in an attempt to replace my nice income I used to have in the abusive corporate atmosphere, I have decided......
It is probably easier and more likely to win the lotto! Or maybe it is just a bad day and I'm getting jaded.

Off to a quite night of slumber. Maybe I will be totally blessed with the most brilliant thought tomorrow morning.....or a winning lottery ticket!

Not enough time in a day and the kids have questions!

I have determined that life is too short and we don't get enough sleep as a general rule. Last night, at midnight, my oldest son was pondering the question: "If possession is 9/10ths of the law, what is the other 1/10th?" At midnight, the answer "not possessing" didn't come to me. But I love moments like that, even at midnight. The great thing about a functional home business is the extra time you have around the family that provides those type of moments. After further discussion, at a more reasonable hour, we determined the correct answer would be "legal ownership". An example: My dad and his brothers and sisters each owned equal share of my grandmothers property after her death. However, only one sibling stayed on the property with his low life wife. Neither of them worked, so the rest of the kids let them stay there so they wouldn't be homeless. The wife dies, then the brother dies and the kids of this woman (who are not related as this was from her previous marriage) sue to get the property. The judge finds the possession during the woman's life time as the spouse of the one brother gives them a right to claim the property that is greater than the legal ownership. One of the sisters buys the property back through the court. LESSON - always charge rent and keep after them to pay, regardless of the fact that you will never collect! One of those times being nice just doesn't work.

Starting off the New Year Right!

I'm learning to relax more often. Hence the countryside picture. I've spent the better part of my adult life pursuing a career that I didn't enjoy that much. BUT, I am pretty darned good at it. I was making some pretty big bucks at an oil company (you've all seen them- yellow canopy at the retail location), but management had such major issues that from Jan to June this year, we lost over 50% of our dept --- they left voluntarily!
Being optimistic, I stayed until November. When I began to realize, it was a no win situation (didn't matter if you did it well or not, it wasn't going to be excepted as "good enough"), and that Thanksgiving and Christmas would be full of overtime rather than fun, I quit.
That was hard to do. The holidays were much more enjoyable though. And now, I'm off to new adventures.
